Smashed in Berlin
Studio Bjorn Verlinde: Interior architecture and object design from Kortrijk, for hospitality, retail, offices, healthcare and homes.
View the projectsEvery project starts as a story
Studio Bjorn Verlinde is a spatial design practice in Kortrijk, founded in 2012 by interior architect Bjorn Verlinde.
We design highly personalised interiors and objects for commercial and private clients. Each project starts with a deep dive into the client's story, the requirements of the project, its context and the desired outcome. All our design decisions follow from those criteria.
What typifies us? A predilection for geometry, structure, colour, light and empty space. Always with function first, and always looking for a surprising angle.
What we do
From the first concept to the handover on site. We draw the interior, the furniture and the light, and follow up on the execution.
Hospitality interiors
Restaurants, bars, bistros and a B&B, from starred kitchens to burger bars.
Showrooms, retail and offices
Spaces where a brand or collection comes to rest, with room to work.
Healthcare and practices
Bright, calm practices where privacy and openness go together.
Homes and renovation
Interiors for private homes, from targeted interventions to a complete renovation.
Furniture and object design
Bespoke furniture, service carts and our own objects with a distinctive angle.
Light and atmosphere
A lighting plan that follows the space, the materials and the time of day.
Execution and site follow-up
From material selection and detail drawings to contractor selection and handover.
A process, not a template
Our approach01
Meet
We start by listening. Together we map your goals, needs and wishes and capture them in a clear brief. Based on that scope, we propose an estimated fee.
02
Concept
Ideas, sketches, references and materials come together in a first presentation. We then develop the concept further in structure, material, detail and services.
03
Realisation
Material selection, construction details, suppliers and contractors. During the works we visit the site regularly, up to a smooth handover.
