The brief

After the 2015 collaboration, Hendrik Dierendonck and Timon Michiels asked us again, this time for the furniture of the second Carcasse.

In this project

  • Bespoke furniture in solid beech and natural leather
  • Tables with integrated Clem Vanhee knives
  • Lighting concept for day and evening

Bespoke furniture for the second Carcasse by Dierendonck in Knokke: solid beech tables, natural leather seating and knives that sink into the tabletop.

After a successful collaboration in 2015, Studio Bjorn Verlinde was once again entrusted with designing the furniture for the second Carcasse by Dierendonck, in Knokke. In close partnership with Hendrik Dierendonck and Timon Michiels, SBV created bespoke furniture that embodies Carcasse's core values: craftsmanship, authenticity and functionality.

The interior exudes pure craftsmanship, with tables made of solid beech, the wood of traditional butcher's blocks, and seating upholstered in natural leather for maximum comfort. A unique detail: Clem Vanhee's knives feature a slanted handle, seamlessly integrated into the tables.

The refined lighting concept ensures the perfect ambiance day and night, enhancing both the dining experience and the presentation of the dishes. Here, pure materials and honest craftsmanship come to life.
