Atelier Paul Morel in Antwerp: a bar and workplace for mixologist Paul Morel, with a suspended steel rack, open shelving and a wooden frame around the counter.
For mixologist Paul Morel, we drew an atelier in Antwerp: a place halfway between a bar and a workshop. Everything revolves around making drinks, so the counter plays the leading role.
Above the bar hangs a suspended steel rack that keeps glasses and tools within reach without closing off the space. Along the walls, open shelves hold the bottles above a worktop with lighting underneath, so the collection itself becomes the décor. A frame in dark wood with a glazed top encloses the bar and bottle racks.
The grey walls and floor are deliberately sober, so the colours of the bottles, the wood and the guests fill the room.
