The brief

A recognisable interior for the first oat bar in Belgium, in a narrow building with plenty of seating.

In this project

  • Interior concept for a new venue
  • Yellow stepped bench as seating
  • Black steel shopfront

Oatsdaylong in Ghent, the first oat bar in Belgium: a narrow space with a yellow stepped bench, light walls, greenery and a black steel shopfront.

Oatsdaylong in Ghent was the first oat bar in Belgium. For that new concept, we drew an interior as fresh and simple as the menu.

The building is narrow and deep. A yellow stepped bench along the wall works as seating and furniture at once, drawing the eye through the entire space. Light walls and floor keep it bright, with some greenery and line drawings as accents. At the front, a black steel shopfront opens the bar to the street, so you can see the warm atmosphere from outside.
